Kapenda, has over 15 years as a technology executive. He started his career in software development at Microsoft working in Windows NT and Systems Management Server. He then went on and founded his first startup Jookster, in 2005. The first of its kind social search engine. In 2005, Jookster was selected by Dow-Jones Venture Wire as one of the top 50 early stage tech companies in the nation. Jookster was acquired in 2007. Kapenda also holds a patent in the area of Digital Media syndication and encryption. Outside of work Kapenda enjoys, skiing, cycling and tasting the next best microbrew.
Chuck has almost 30 years experience in software internationalization. He was part of the AT&T Bell Labs team that defined software internationalization. The software internationalization principals defined by this team have stood the test of time as software internationalization is still done according to the same guidelines and principals. Chuck got his start in software internationalization while working for Bell Labs in Tokyo, Japan in 1985 as part of the team that internationalized the Unix operating system. While at Avaya, Chuck did the internationalization roadmap and architecture to take Avaya products from English only to fully supporting all the worlds languages. Outside of work Chuck enjoys being with friends and family and drinking good microbeers. He has his proirities straight; beer first, then internationalization.
Othniel has over 20 years of experience as a technology executive. He has extensive experience in sales, marketing and product management. Othniel originally came to Seattle to work at Microsoft as a product manager in the launch of its networking and server products. He was also a Group Manager for channel development for what is now the Microsoft Partners program. Othniel has launched three startups. One of those startups, Network Commerce, went public on the NASDAQ. He holds an MBA from Stanford and an engineering degree from Princeton. Outside of work, Othniel enjoys reading, skiing and chasing after his school age kids.
